Solar installer working on a roof in Lochaber, Scotland
1

Survey

We visit your property to assess roof orientation, pitch, shading (from Ben Nevis, forestry or neighbouring buildings), and your current electricity usage. We check whether your roof can support panels and whether battery storage makes sense for your household.

2

System Design

Based on the survey, we design a solar system tailored to your home. This includes panel placement, inverter selection, battery sizing and any export limiting needed for constrained SSEN rural grid connections. You receive a fixed quote with no obligation.

3

SSEN DNO Notification

For grid-connected systems, our installer partners handle the G99/G100 notification to SSEN North. Most domestic installations under 3.68kW per phase use simplified notification. Larger or constrained connections may need full application — we manage this for you.

4

Installation

Our MCS-certified installer partners carry out the physical installation — typically 1–2 days for a domestic system. Roof work, mounting rails, panels, inverter and battery are all fitted by qualified engineers experienced in West Highland properties.

5

Commissioning & Handover

The system is tested, commissioned and registered. You get a handover pack with performance monitoring setup, MCS certificate (required for export tariffs) and warranty documentation. We remain available for aftercare questions.
